Wood veneer is cut and used to assemble decorative designs and pictures known as marquetry. The beautiful variety of colors and natural figure provide the material to create elaborate designs. My designs are not only placed into flat surfaces but also curves, and sometimes extremely difficult compound curves, I've never seen this done before, but I think it adds a beautiful and unique intricacy to the peace. Please pay particular attention to the quality of the inlay and marquetry this is all done by hand. I take great pride in producing the very finest and intricate inlay with all the pieces fitting together like a puzzle and all the seams being no more than a hairsbreadth, well maybe two.

Joint making, known as joinery, requires the mastery of accurate cutting techniques. The design is chosen to keep with the style of the piece and must produce a solid and strong bond. Many of the pieces have wooden joints only. However on occasion when it is expedient I will use a metal fastener. Choosing the right joint whether it be a wooden joint or a metal fastener is a crucial step in maintaining the longevity of any piece of hardwood furniture.

Carving offers a means to create works of fine art furniture. Special chisels, gouges and other tools are used to sculpture diverse shapes from a variety of woods.
